I was a bit nervous about working with Steve as I'd seen him in action training fighters, and my goals couldn't be any more different. After recovering from breast cancer surgery, I'd worked hard to get well again and then Covid hit. So long out of the gym meant I not only lost a lot of strength but also confidence in myself and my abilities. For a tough guy that has endless energy, he's incredibly kind and is devoted to helping his clients achieve their goals. He always has time for you. He takes a holistic approach and finds ways to challenge and improve your mindset and overall wellbeing. I never thought we'd end up talking about meditation, but again, he knows what he's talking about.

I suffered with obesity all my life and having tried every diet/slimming club there was I was running out of options. Struggling to look after my 2 year old son I had to do something to improve my health, not only that, I had concerns for my long term health if I was to continue on the path was on. I started my weight loss journey at 19st 4lbs and initially I started by addressing diet and mindset, the weight started to reduce. I was doing some basic exercises and lots of walking, but my knowledge and confidence in this area was lacking.

Steve is up there with the best PT’s I have experienced. His whole body and mind approach works for me, with well-planned, fun, and challenging sessions, ensuring outstanding results. I like the fact that he focuses on both my mobility and strength in equal measure. He has introduced a new way of exercising to me, that within three months, is helping me to achieve good, sustained progress. He is also a top bloke with a real passion for what he does; his understanding of the body, exercise and nutrition is extensive. I cannot recommend him and his approach to personal fitness highly enough.

"4 years ago I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. I have a bicuspid aortic valve and a weakened aorta which has expanded to the point where it needs surgical repair. The operation is serious, although routine. Prior to the diagnosis, I did a lot of endurance cycling such as Lands End to John O'groats , London to Nice, big rides in the Alps and countless big days on the bike where I'd ride more than a hundred miles in a day. The medical advice was that I could keep riding but at a lower intensity in order to protect myself. I was also placed on beta blockers which had the effect of reducing my max heart rate by 25 bpm.
