HOW TO START RE TRAINING YOUR BRAIN

Did you know;

  • There are more connections between brain wires in your head than stars in our galaxy – 0.15 Quadrillion!

Wow – That’s a big number. So is it any wonder why the brain bombards us with so many emotional thoughts and feelings on a daily basis?.

Have you ever wondered if you could change the structure of all those connections and start using emotional thoughts in a more positive way? Well actually you can!

Just as you train your ‘physical’ body by hitting the weights, doing a Yoga class or just stepping outside for a walk your brain can also be re trained to think in new ways to give you a more positive outlook;

The answer is Neuroplasticity, or the brains ability to form new connections and re wire itself.

You have the ability to train your brain to deal with all those emotional thoughts and feelings

  • Practice focused attention: – How often during your day do you take time to just sit, breathe and focus your thoughts?. Try a daily 20-30 seconds to begin with. Just allow whatever you are thinking to come in and out of your mind without passing judgement and just focus on the ‘present’ moment.
  • Positive forward thinking: – This allows you to get the brain used to turning negative emotional thoughts into positive actions. Make a note of at least one positive thing, thought or experience that has happened to you at the end of each day. Remember you get what you focus on so why not train your brain to always focus on the positive even when you feel you are swimming in a sea of negativity.
  • The best natural medicine: – Do you ever feel negative or down when you laugh? Each day spend some time seeing the world through the eyes of a child. You will be surprised of all the things that can make you smile no matterhow trivial they may seem.

The brain is just like the physical body. With focused daily training it is capable of changing your entire outlook on life – Give it a try
